What Are HMO’s?
With House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) investments you invest in a property or properties with a view to letting them out to multiple tenants. HMOs are any properties occupied by five or more people, forming two or more separate households and require a HMO license which is issued following inspection and approval of the property by the relevant Local Authority.
To be approved for a HMO license the property and rooms must meet specific and stringent building regulations such as gas, electrical, fire safety and room size standards. The Modus Hands Free Property Investment service can help you source, raise finances and manage your HMO investments, whilst having teams in place to carry out all of the required work to bring the property up to standard.
